Ice Out Thanks!

Sure sign of spring - IN MAINE!!!!

OMG!!!

Spring is here!! It was just a couple of weeks ago that we were having the ice out of Mt P guessing contest and here is the first small lilac bud on our wee tree!!



Lilacs are my favorite flower! I love the smell of them!! *sigh* A co worker of Nancy's gave her a couple twigs from her bush about 3 years ago. Last year we had two very small flower clusters that came late in the season and this year we already have at least 4 flower cluster buds!!

On our first outing, Nancy cut me a bouquet of lilacs!! *swoon*

Now if the weather will just warm up a wee bit so I can sit out on the deck and convalesce my shoulder some!

Ice out update 4/20/2008

It's coming down to the wire!! These first two pictures were taken yesterday afternoon at 3PM and then again at 5PM!

The next is what is left of Mount P as of 8AM this morning!

'Nother update! 4/18/08

Here we go again! These are the two pictures I took this morning at 6:30 AM eastern time. Only tiny amounts are left!



Here's the fence and the small amount of snow left piled by it.

And the deck! WOW! Look at that! It's amazing to think that just a few short weeks ago this pile was about 3 feet tall!!

I do believe that Ted is out of the running, will Sheryl take the prize??

Ice out update and shoulder surgery - again! 4/16/08

Errr.... yeah but, it's more like P's Ant Hill!!!

Here's the shot of the deck from the top of the yard.

What's left of the snow over by the fence. Nero walked over this fence one day and escaped the yard!! We had THAT MUCH snow! Shewt!

Wow! Is that a spring clean flower garden!??

Next week this time I'll be having shoulder surgery on my left shoulder! Yes, you read that right! ANOTHER shoulder surgery! Well, I do have two shoulders, and I suspect that my left shoulder got jealous of my right! I can only hope that this surgery is NOT as complex as my surgery on my right shoulder was! I hope I'll only be out of work 3 weeks. $ will be tight. We certainly have begun to rely on my paycheck! Feels good.

Ice out update - 4-11-08

Here we go again! What a difference a week makes!! WOW! We had some really NICE days this week! In fact we even went over and took "The Girls" out of storage yesterday!! It was soooooooo nice to be on the bikes again! I'm soooo glad this winter is done - "D"- "U"-"N" as Natalie on Big Brother would say! LOL!

Any how, here's whats left of The Mount.

I took these two pictures yesterday morning. There's been some melting since the last pics I took, but nothing significant really yet.

The local weather forecast for this week is temps in the 50's. YAY!!

Here's a couple of shots taken this morning of our mountain, April 4th, 2008 about 8 AM. Looks like Ted or Sheryl might be the winner, except take a look at todays forecast from WCSH channel 6. Ya never know whats gonna happen with the weather this spring!!
